My Top 3 Picks
1. A Haunting in Venice (2023) - I'm a huge fan on murder mysteries and crime novels, so naturally I found this movie to be entertaining and a bit scary at some points.
2. The Invitation (2022) - I loved this one the most. There are so many twists and turns that I don't want to give away spoilers, but the female character totally holds her own again these ancient creatures.
3. Hocus Pocus (1993) - Is a classic movie featuring three powerful Salem witches who cause mayhem in a small town on Halloween after being brought back to life by some big kids. This move was so great, I can't believe I waited so long to watch it.

4. The Boogeyman (2023)
This film is a Stephen King horror movie. In the movie, a supernatural entity preys on families and uses their fear to scare them to death.
5. Haunted Mansion (2023)
I'm not normally a fan of scary or horror films, but I must admit I enjoyed this one. I went to the cinemas to see it with a friend when it first came out, and I loved it. I found it both scary and funny at the same time. Its a must-watch for anyone who loves a good, scary, funny movie.
6. The Menu (2022)
This movie had me creeped out just by watching the trailer. The intensity of the trailer music and the cold, creepy gaze of the head chef were enough to send shivers down my spine. It gave me hunger games vibes.
7. Matriarch (2022)
A woman returns to her childhood home to face the demons of her past, only to discover a real one has taken over the whole town and the people in it.
8. Grimcutty (2022)
An internet meme comes to life and takes over, causing hysteria and people to attack each other, leaving the faith of everyone up to a teenage girl and her little brother to stop it.
9. Werewolf by Night (2022)
This movie is in black and white; apart from orange and red, there is nothing more creepy than a horror movie in black and white. Just by watching the trailer I was getting 'blair witch project' vibes.
Werewolf by Night is about monster hunters paying their respects to their dead leader when they are thrown into a deadly game.
10. Barbarian (2022)
An Airbnb booking was double booked, and a guy and young girl end up sharing the place only to discover there is something evil in the basement, and they may never make it out of that house alive.

14. Sea Fever (2020)
There is a parasite in the water supply, and the trawler crew is struggling to survive.
15. Underwater (2020)
I was getting 'the meg' vibes from this movie. It's about researchers fighting for their survival when an earthquake hits their underwater lab. Kristen Stewart stars in this one.
16. Ready or Not (2019)
This is a movie to watch on Halloween Day. I know its on my list because I intend to watch it on the day itself. The trailer alone was unbeatable! and honestly, I think every new bride's worst nightmare is being hunted for sports by her in-laws and this movie really makes that fear come alive.
17. Killer Under the Bed (2018)
A teenager moves into a new home only to discover a creepy, cursed doll. The doll looks like one of those voodoo dolls with the pin in the heart. Who wouldn't want to play with that doll this Halloween?
18. Alien Covenant (2017)
The Covenant Crew discovers the alien threat and attempt to escape with their lives.

A journal reveals that Abraham Lincoln had vampires in his life.
29. Jennifer's Body (2009)
A Megan Fox movie, where she plays a cheerleader who has an appetite for her male classmates.
30. Mirrors (2008)
Cover your mirrors when watching this movie. Its about an unspeakable evil using mirrors as gateways into people's homes, and its focused on entering a troubled security guard's house.
31. Aliens vs Predator (2004) and Aliens vs Predator: Requiem (2007)
I'm I the only one who hasn't seen these movies yet? Two fearsome creators wage war against each other, and scientists are caught in the middle.
32. Ghost Rider (2007)
This was one of my favorite movies back in the day, so you know it had to make the list. Nicolas Cage really brings it playing a stunt motorcyclist who gives up his soul to become a hell-blazing skeleton who's head is on fire all the time.
33. The Hills Have Eyes 1 (2006) and 2 (2007)
I've actually never seen this movie, but if the photos and trailers are anything to go by, then it will scare the crap out of you. The first one is about a family on vacation fighting for their survival against bloodthirsty mutants. The second one is about a tribe of cannibalistic mutants attacking soldiers.
34. 28 Weeks Later (2007)
After Britain survives a 'rage virus', a new nightmare begins!
35. Primeval (2007)
This movie begs the question: just how far would go or a story? Well, this American news crew is willing to travel deep within the African jungle to get their scoop! - but not all is as it seems.
36. The Omen (2006)
I hate movies where the child is the evil villain; those types of movies are really scary and kind of soul-crushing. In the Omen, the father is the ambassador to England who suspects his son may be the Anti-Christ. There is actually a really good TV series on Prime Video called 'Good Omen'.
37. Scary Movie 4 (2006)
Really any movie in the Scary Movie franchise would be great, but this one is especially funny and full of horror at the same time.
38. Dark Water (2005)
A mother moves her child into a haunted, run-down apartment.
39. Hide and Seek (2005)
A creepy figure (or something) named Charlie is tormenting a troubled father and young daughter. I would hate to be found by that thing!
40. The Village (2004)
A village is threatened by creatures in the woods, but who's brave enough to go take a look?
41. From Hell (2001)
If you like Jack the Ripper, then this one is for you - from hell! The depth of Johnny Depp's acting skills are really shown in this one, with the intense psychological spin that was put on it.
42. The Sixth Sense (1999)
I haven't seen this film since I was a young child. It's about a child with a sixth sense about things.
43. Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1992)
This film came out in my birth year. A cheerleader learns she comes from a long line of vampire slayers, and not only is she a vampire slayer, but she's mankind's only hope. This film eventually became a successful TV Series with Sarah Michele Gelar playing the star role as Buffy.
44. Hocus Pocus (1993) and Hocus Pocus 2 (2023)
I went to the cinemas to watch Hocus Pocus for the first time ever a few weeks ago; it was its 30th anniversary, and Odeon was having a special showing.
I have to say, I actually enjoyed it, Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy really shine as the Sanderson sisters. 17th-century witches from Salem stole the life force of little kids to remain eternally young.
Hocus Pocus 2: Focus on the same Sanderson sister witches as they continue their mayhem. It's definitely Halloween-worthy and worth a watch on the big, spooky day!
45. Casper (1995)
Casper is a classic Halloween ghost movie. A father and daughter move into a house full of ghosts, one of which turns out to be a friendly ghost.
46. Ghost Busters (1984)
Nothing beats the original, and to me, Ghostbusters is the OG of scary movies. The original version was filmed back in the day with Bill Murray, who started a ghost-catching business in NYC.
47. The Invitation (2022)
OMG! I was so obsessed with this movie that I've lost count of how many times I've seen it. It stars Natalie Emmanuel, who plays Evie, a struggling artist who did a DN test to find her family after her mother's passing.
Only to discover her long-lost vampire has a lot of supernatural skeletons in the family closet, and she is vital to their plans.
48. The Addams Family (1991)
There's nothing like watching the dysfunctional, spooky addams family in action. The parents and close family members try to raise the children according to their family traditions.
49. IT (2017) and IT: Chapter Two (2019)
Children are disappearing in a town where great evil looms. I'll be honest; I've always been too scared to watch this move. Even though i've never watched it and I have zero plans to, I've seen the photos and the promos, and that is one scary-looking clown.
I've never looked at a clown or a balloon the same way again. That was enough to deter me from watching the movie. Being someone who generally doesn't like scary stories or anything in the horror genre, this movie would be perfect for a true horror fan.
50. A Haunting in Venice (2023)
During All Hallows' Eve in Venice, there is dead people start dropping all over the haunted house as the famed ex-detective struggles to solve the case.
